    Default fall weight loss fling

Constance started an AWESOME thread for decluttering. She projected a goal of 1000 items by December 21. I will be joining her in this challenge. Anyone up for a weight loss fling? Or a xxxx number of minutes worked out between now and December 21? I need some serious motivation and it's challenges like this that keep me on track. Anyone in? BTW ~ 4000 minutes would be about 30 minutes per day if my math is correct (September - December).

Count me in on the weightloss fling. I was planning on losing weight anyways so this just helps me stay motivated. I would love to be able to get in 30 minutes a day of exercise but that's just not possible right now. I'm striving for 3 times a week.

~I'm in for exercise minutes. I took up running in July and overdid it so I laid off for a few weeks. I just started again yesterday. I even bought new running shoes. My biggest problem is only exercising 3 times a week because it's so fun! I'm easing into it this week with just 10 minute sessions 3X a week. Ideally I want to get in 90 minutes of cardio every week. So I guess a minute goal would be about 1440.~

I'm totally in, I just packed my clothes to go to the gym after work today. I am trying for 40min of cardio 5 days per week....so that is...3400 minutes.

I will also strive for 1020 minutes of strength training.

    Good Luck everyone!

Count me in!! I'm working with my healthcare professional, I've an appointment soon to get my plan! He actually isn't concerned about the numbers other than the measuring tape, and the ratio of muscle/fat.

I'll be tracking exercise minutes, and my measurements. Not the scale.

I'll jump into this. My goal is to lose 25 pounds. Hey, I'm on the fall fling as well. If I lose 25 pounds by Dec 21, does that count as 25 items for my fall fling?

I'm up for 4,000 minutes by the end of the year. And I'll throw in my personal goal to walk or run 200 miles by the end of the year.

Count me in but I need to lose 25 pounds by the end of the year.

    Let's do it.

And I say each pound lost is another thing out the door for the Fall Fling.

Absolutely! I had TOTALLY planned on that as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this, or would anyone be interested?
Could you do doing things things that are good for you. Or could you give yourself credit for eating within your calorie guidelines?

I looked back at 4000 minutes and want to be more realistic. 0 minutes ALL week to 210 per week would be a jump. I will say 150 minutes per week starting now brings me to 2400 (16 weeks). My reward (as I am completely copying Constance's idea) will be a new outfit ~ hopefully in a smaller size. Good luck, gals!

I am so in, anything to keep me accountable! My goal for the last month has been 30 mins 4x a week. I'm going to bump it up to 45 mins 4x a week. So 9/1 to 12/31 is 18 weeks...3240 minutes total. Good luck to everyone!

Weighed myself today/ i am down half a pound. Need to work a little harder at portion control and making sure I eat breakfast(this can be a challenge because I have to wait an hour after I take my pill to eat), but I will work on it.

Good job! I know how hard those pounds are to lose!!

I'm horrible about breakfast. Typically, breakfast is a cup of coffee, most of which goes cold sitting on the counter while I'm running around getting ready for work.

Well, I intended to go for a walk, but an unexpected power outage (thanks to a fire nearby) kept me housebound, trying to keep a brooder full of baby chicks warm for eight hours. I ended up putting the brooder in my truck so I could run the heater. I have been trying to figure out how to calculate eight hours of running up and down stairs into minutes of exercise!!
