    Question question - nausea

why is it when i havent eaten in a while i get super nauseous... sometimes even to the point of getting sick?
seems a little odd to me that this happens.

(i've been sick the past week or so, feels like stomach flu. just the thought of food has made me ill...)

i was just wonderin if anyone knew why the body does this. why would i get sick if i need food? just getting sick makes me not want to eat... duh! lol

I am hypoglycemic, I pass out and/or get sick when I dont eat!! I have to eat about every 2 hours sometimes more!
I just learned to make myself a veggie tray with ranch dip and have lil snacky things around to make sure to keep that blood sugar in line!
If it worries you, talk to your doc about it, for me, I knew I was from my teens, as my Mother is, and my grandmother was, she did not take are of hers and it turned to diabetes....So I keep mine in check at all times!!

Maybe your ph balance is off. That can really make you feel sick. I have acid reflux diesease and deal with hypoglycemia. It's a double whammy here. Just a thought.

Hypoglycemia was my first thought. You really should have your blood sugar checked but in the case of not wanting to or being able to afford it in time or money; eat like you have it anyway. It can't hurt you.

I echo the hypoglycemia concerns. Also agree with Lisa that it will not hurt you to eat as if you were hypoglycemic. I usually have little packets of crackers and peanut butter or jerky or something like that - preferably with some protein - in my purse at all times. You can make your own and use little ziploc or sandwich bags to keep the expense down. I was also told every 2 hours when my docc 1st told me to eat "frequently", and it doesn't have to be a meal.

Yep, low blood sugar. Happens to me all the time if I don't eat. I shake and get nauseated. Often throw up. Happens to my brother too.

I also get the same way. Also really crabby, like super major crabby. I just try to always have something in my tummy even if its just water.
