Byetta?
I was wondering if anybody else is diabetic that has been placed on Byetta. I have heard some very mixed reviews about the medicine and even though it worked like a miracle for my mother it's been a rough few days going through the adjustement period. I'm still being patient about it, mind you... I know it's going to take time for my body to get adjusted to not having 250+ blood sugars all the time (probably why I'm shakey even typing this) but it's still rough. So anyway, was just seeing if anybody else had first or second hand experience with it.

My dh has taken Byetta for a couple of years now. The only bad side effects he has mentioned are a lack of appetite and nausea. It has helped with the diabetes though so I guess he's willing to put up with the unpleasant part.
On 11-22-85 I married the man of my dreams.
On 01-13-89 I gave birth to the love of my life.

Awwwww thanks Mommy! *hugs 'his' Mommy* And thanks Mega... It's good to know the nausea thing might last for some time. Honestly the decrease in appetite is something my mom has had too, but I don't mind that aspect, mostly because I eat too much as it is. The doctor better be happy with my numbers this week dangit! Faxing them too him now... I prayed SO hard for the byetta so I'm praying he will let me stay on it.
