Default This may come as no surprise to some but it's official I'm OLD

I was cleaning up the kitchen tonight and I did the little foot raise thing I do to the stainless steel dishwasher door (trying to keep my damp hands off of it) and I ended up somehow shutting the darn thing on my leg. I made my first 'skin tear'!!! I can't believe it. It's not a huge tear but I had on JEANS for goodness sake. I have a big ol' bump and it's gonna be a humdinger of a bruise......I can't believe it, I'm really old. Can I get a little sympathy please.....

I hear ya! Every night before I go to bed I go into the bathroom to brush my teeth. And right there in the mirror are several more gray hairs staring back at me. Sigh, I'm getting old too.... you have my sympathies.

I'm so sorry you hurt yourself. I won't agree with you being old though because if you are that makes me ancient. Nope, can't agree with you there.

Ooh, are you getting parchment skin?

Hey, I just took a RealAge test and it says I'm only 36 years old. Did I mention I love RealAge?

No sympathy here. That was not a skin tear, that was a cut.You are not old, and I know that, because we are the same age.

HA! I agree with Darlene. Your not getting old, your body is simply rebelling against housework. Might be time to hire that maid after all!

    Aw, I'm sorry

If it makes you feel any better, on Sunday I tripped on my own feet and fell on the sidewalk, took chunks out of my knuckles, bruised my knees black, and am very sore. But I didn't spill my coffee I was carrying lol

YankeeMom! You sound like me, take a beating falling down but for hell sakes protect that cup of coffee! You only as old as you feel, and after a fall or getting hurt like shutting your leg in a door......makes you FEEL old!

Lots of sympathy. As they say, getting old isn't for sissies. I should know.

Well that sort of makes me feel better.....

And as far as my skin being parchment paper.....where I tore it, it looked more like tissue paper It's a lot better today, got vitamin e oil on and a big ol' band aide.
