    I think you did the right thing. As others have said above, bank the money each month that would have gone into the car payment and you'll quickly build your savings back up.

    I agree. I know how hard you all have been working Brenda to get the savings, house etc and you both have done a fantastic job. My father is of the same school, generation and would have told me the same...lol but I think you made a wise decision . I know you stockpile, save and do other things to keep your budget in line and just wanted to give you a pat on the back and hugs. Keep up the good work my friend.
