    Question Doctor's office charges...

How much does your doctor's office charge for an office visit? We recently had to change doctor's because ours retired (darn him), he charged $45.

Now, I don't have health insurance so when I went to pick up dh's script yesterday I set up my appt. and asked what they charged for an office visit...I was told they start at $130 !!! Thing is dh has already been there and his "new patient" visit was $99...so I'm guessing they charge self pays more than those who have insurance.

WOW, I didn't realize those who live in the States even have to pay for a doctor's visit.

doctor visits here are horrid! Cash pay people are charged 85 just for the visit, then more depending on what they do. Insurance is charged anywhere from 100 to 200, depending on how much time it takes in the office. We pay a co-pay of 20, and then 10 to 20% depending on what its for.

You can't afford to get sick, if you wasn't sick when you went you would be when you come out as they charge enough to make anyone feel ill!!

It depends , the price varies greatly. For my doctor it was around 45 but for the ped it is 97. I would call around.

our co-pay is $15 for the regular doctor and $25 for specialists. I have no idea what they actually charge for an office visit! thank goodness for health insurance!!
