We're back from my surgery!!
It went incredibly well. I was a bag of nerves come Tuesday morning as they don't put you to sleep down there unless you request it, but I made it through!
I cannot express how it feels to finally see a dentist who cared about "Me" and not his wallet!
She pulled a total of 20 teeth and my new dentures are incredibly beautiful! They look just like my real teeth did, even the slightly crooked on on the left!
I also found out after the extractions that my roots were infected with the disease, so if I'd not had this done now it literally would have been the death of me this year!
I am not in pain, if I let my pain meds wear off I am in mild (and I mean severely mild) discomfort!
I just wanted to let everyone know how it went, I lived through it and am back with a vengeance!!

So glad to hear that things went well......and its wonderful that your pain level is mild! Its so nice to have this all behind you, and now I am sure that you will see a huge difference in the way you feel with those teeth being infected!!
Its so nice to hear you found a dentist that really cares, they sure seem few and far between anymore.
Take it easy, don't over do it with things. Take time to let yourself heal.

Congrats on the surgery!!!
Having the alveoplasty was one of the BEST decisions I ever made. I had to wait 4 months before I got the dentures (because of the swelling and healing -- little different surgery than yours, had jawbone taken too)
It's been about a year and a half since I had it done... and I feel SO much better knowing that the time bomb under my brain is GONE! It's even rumored people have seen me smile
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

She had to reopen my gums from the previous surgery and grind the jawbone as the other surgeon did not clip and grind the bone to accommodate dentures!
and this was the best and really the only option I had, I am so glad it is done, and thank you all for your support, prayers and good wishes!Proud wife to Randy

Good for you! I'm glad for you.
I have one more to go and then I'm done. New choppers and pretty white smile for me too.
I'm a total coward when it comes to extractions. PUT ME OUT! I've been hurt by too many dentists in the past and I can't take it any more. I'll pay the extra money for sedation.
Now, it's all UPhill from here for you YAY!

Honey, I'm so happy all went well! I had a single molar pulled last month & the pre-effect & aftermath were awful & excruciating! I'm glad to hear yours went better than mine!!!
