    Default Daily Accountability- March 12

    WELCOME ALL!

Our creed is simple: No Judgment, just love, support and understanding. Through mutual SUPPORT and understanding as a TEAM, we'll experience a HEALTHIER LIFE together!!

ACCOUNTABILITY to ourselves and our teammates will help each of us to acquire a healthy lifestyle. Lending SUPPORT to others will help us strengthen ourselves.

We all share such precious life stories and maybe for the first time we found a place where we can be HONEST with our feelings and how we act out with food. For most of us it is EMOTIONAL EATING that gets us every time. It has many names; COMPULSIVE EATING, RESTRICTING, BINGEING, OUT OF CONTROL EATING, NUMBING, SELF-MEDICATING, whatever you call it we struggle with food and can't figure out why it is so hard!!

Some of us here are dealing with eating disorder (ED) issues but we all find the accountability to others and ourselves a much-needed resource!!!... COMMUNICATION with each other on a regular basis will keep us strong!

    Did I eat mindfully?

Did I take care of and nurture my body?

Did I practice self acceptance and avoid negative self talk?

Did I use my tools of recovery? These may include meal plans, water minimums, journaling, etc.- Whatever works for YOU.

Did I share my experience with food for the day somewhere I feel safe and nurtured? This may be here, in this forum, with a therapist, a close friend, a group such as OA, etc.- Again, whatever works for YOU.

Did I select a word, phrase, and/or quote for the day?

    Challenges:
    EF: £107/£100 (eventually £1000)
I wasn't lying when I said it would be the slowest EF fund savings program EVER!

Morning ladies! Sending smiles to all!

    Did I eat mindfully?
I am doing alright here, still room for improvement, but doing ok!

Did I take care of and nurture my body?
Again, still room for improvement, but doing ok here too

Did I practice self acceptance and avoid negative self talk?
I'm starting to backslide here.... perhaps because I'm leaving in a couple of days and I'm really feeling it.

Did I use my tools of recovery? These may include meal plans, water minimums, journaling, etc.- Whatever works for YOU.
I did not need them as much yesterday, my cravings were low. Strange.

Did I share my experience with food for the day somewhere I feel safe and nurtured? This may be here, in this forum, with a therapist, a close friend, a group such as OA, etc.- Again, whatever works for YOU.
    Here. Thanks for listening.

Good morning to all!!! (Took my cue from you Eve. You sound very chipper this morning and it seems like a good way to start the day!)

Did I eat mindfully?I was well aware of the things I was eating that made me feel guilty after I ate them. I also think I ate them because I was bored. I couldn't find anything I WANTED to do. I didn't get carried away though, so that is a good thing. I was aware enough to not binge.

Did I take care of and nurture my body?I did excersize but it was a half hearted attempt forced on by the above guilty feeling. I don't want that to sound like a bad thing though, as excersize motivated by anything is a good thing for me.

Did I practice self acceptance and avoid negative self talk?Every time I thouht something negative I would think "well ok even if that's true I am also (insert a positive)" and then I'd move on.

Did I use my tools of recovery? These may include meal plans, water minimums, journaling, etc.- Whatever works for YOU.excersize and reinforcing the positive

Good morning! Eve, glad you are finding time to post as you prepare for your trip. GG, I like your strategy for the negative self talk, its important to remember our strengths.

    Did I eat mindfully?

Still making progress here, trying to remember to put my fork down between each bite but this is hard to remember after years of unconcious eating. As Eve said yesterday, progress not perfection.

Did I take care of and nurture my body?

I have no time for exercise on Wednesdays and I didn't go to bed early enough to ensure a good night's sleep so no, not really.

Did I practice self acceptance and avoid negative self talk?

Another area of "progress not perfection"

Did I use my tools of recovery? These may include meal plans, water minimums, journaling, etc.- Whatever works for YOU.

I read some more of Intuitive Eating thanks to imagine's post... I think I am avoiding it because it seems like the last thing that will work for me and if I fail, then what? It is scary and I needed pushed to finish. I had some good insights which I will post in my IE thread.

Did I share my experience with food for the day somewhere I feel safe and nurtured? This may be here, in this forum, with a therapist, a close friend, a group such as OA, etc.- Again, whatever works for YOU.

    here, not in RL

Did I select a word, phrase, and/or quote for the day?

    Be present.
