Fifth Disease

Has anyone heard of Fifth Disease? I never had but it seems we have several children at school getting it.

Is that the one where it looks like someone slapped your face, almost like red marks on the skin? Or am I thinking about something else.

This went around here years ago and I have not heard about it for awhile.

Yes I have heard of it. Children in the schools around here are getting it too. Kinda like flu like symptoms with the red rosy cheeks.

yep, that's the one......our area was hard hit with it a few months ago

Yes, we was hit in our area not to long ago with this going around in the schools badly. Its aka, slap face, fifth disease (usually the fifth childhood disease kids get), Human parvovirus B-19 (NOT the same as the one in animals!), and many others.

The only thing is keep these kids away from women who are in early pregnancy, it can cause problems.
