Default What Healthy Thing Will You Do For Yourself Today?

I think it would be great if we could all commit to doing one healthy thing for our bodies today. It will be different for everyone. For some, we may vow to exercise for 1/2 hour. Someone else may substitute one soda with a glass of water. Someone else may decide to not smoke that cigarette after lunch. Perhaps you will vow to turn off the computer for an hour and find something to do that requires you to move around a bit.

It certainly can't hurt and wouldn't it be wonderful if it became a habit?

So, I ask, what healthy thing will you do for yourself today?

I am vowing to do the treadmill for at least 1/2 hour, even though I have a bit of a head cold. How about you?

Let's see. Eat smaller portions, that includes better food choices.

    First post in the forums!

I plan, along with my DH, to go to the beach today and walk along the shore. Maybe pick up a couple of shells (great for the stomach!) Drink some water as well and have healthy (oranges) snack.

I just got back from an hour and a half at the gym, split evenly between cardio and weights, and now I'm eating my yogurt!

Other than that, I need to drink lots of water and/or green tea today!

This is my goal too. I have been struggling a bit with this, and there's really no reason why I am having so much trouble. I like water, so I just need to be better about refilling my water glass.

I will be doing an hour of cardio exercise, and an hour of yoga today! Of course I'll be bringing a nice big jug of cold water to drink along the way!

I rode our recumbent bike for 30 minutes. Tonight at the cookout, I am going to try to not snack on the chips and dip that are always out.

I am planning to get on the treadmill. I have gained so much weight and have been feeling so bad -- I really need to step up to the plate and take responsibility.

I'll run up and down our full flight of stairs 10 times (10 times up and 10 times down).

Also, 5 sets of 10 situps.

All this will have to be done duing commercials....as it is the biggest racing day of the year: Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600, and I will be watching every lap!!

I walked for 30 min and will eat some of the "vegatable surprise" I made in the crockpot yesterday. This is a great topic--I'd like to do this every day. Would help me to focus on being more obsevant about my health.
