trazadone withdrawal?
Anybody out there ever try to stop taking trazadone? I have been taking 150mg for sleep for a looooong time and it seemed to have stopped working. Rather than take yet more of the drug I stopped--like an idiot without tapering and am sick, sleepless and very anxious. Just went and took 50mg to try to ease this and will go about tapering it from here out but am feeling really yucky! Would like to hear any success stories. Did get myself off Effexor about a year ago without problems.

You really should consult your doctor about the best way to taper off/quit taking ANY drug.

Agree with the doctor knowing/helping. I did taper off effexor before myself, but I did let my doctor know later.(that drug was simply evil for me) I know people react differently to drugs so just be safe and careful.

I don't think I have ever heard of trazadone.

i tried with cymbalta , i quit . I will never ever do that again. I felt like i was sick with the flu. Now i see and feel what drug abusers go through when they dont get there fix.Even the druggies in rehab take something to brink them down slowly. See your doc.

I hope the tapering is helping! I was on Topamax for almost a year and it took me 6 weeks to taper off of it. I had many sleepless nights, nightmares, and intense sweating. That was a hard drug to get used to and detox from. ((hugs))
