    Default This is just plain

stupid............. I went to my son's for the 4th. I went swimming. I was outside maybe 1 hour. My feet are sunburned(never happened before) So are my arms and forehead. I didn't notice my feet until late last night. I don't stay out in the sun for long. I also have some sort of fever blister on my lip. I have been putting aloe on the buns since I got home. I didn't go back out it was time to go home. I guess I'll avoid the sun all together. I'm just bummed out about the sunburn.

I use an SPF 45 sunscreen and lip balm to keep myself from burning. Remember that being in/near water makes it worse. The water reflects the sun's rays right back on you, so you are getting a double dose.

Sorry about the burns. Maybe try wearing a brimmed hat next time? I hate hats myself, but will wear them if I have to be outside gardening and such.

Fernykins. Are you taking any medicatoins. Certain meds make you burn. HBP meds for one. Also overcast days can get ya. One of those got me pretty badly last month.

Burnt feet are terrible! My husbands always burn. I keep a bottle of Aloe gel in the refrigerator to use on sunburn. It's cold that first second you put it on, but it sure feels good. I hope you feel better soon.

I used to burn in 15 minutes. Now I've always wearing at least SPF 30, but most often SPF 45. I hope the afterburn disappears quickly and painlessly.

Take care of it! If your skin is not use to the sun, it can be very damaging. I tan...occasionally burn but it will be a tan by morning and I don't wear sunscreen. I have never been able to find a sunscreen that won't give me an extremely bad burn so now I don't use it and haven't had a problem. My ancestors were French Canadian/Metis so maybe it is in the blood (or skin for that matter)!

This is what I was gonna say. Meds often are the culprits.

But with or without meds, I can burn in 10 minutes.
