Times like this are so hard - thank goodness for friends and prayers - and you have both here. Please keep us up todate - and take care of yourself.

I'm sooo sorry to hear this! Fingers crossed she does well in surgery and they get it all. Since she's not doing conventional treatments... if you're interested, you might want to check with a naturopath as to routes you can take. Or check out the book "How to Treat and Prevent Cancer with Natural Medicine". It's written by MD's as well and NMD's. I used it (along with my naturopaths guidance) when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 1/2 years ago.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I know that it is not easy to watch someone battle cancer as our family is facing this battle too. My step-father has terminal cancer.

thank u all for your thought and prayers and well wishes.
I just find it so hard because i lost since i was 17 --3 family members die with dignity to cancer. It is very hard to watch them slowly fade away to near bones and almost empty shells of themselfs. Once theor passed on your have relief their not suffering anymore but miss them so much. And some days its hard to remeber them healthy and all the good memories. But I get through it knowing that they affected me in a postive way in my life and left that behind.
I hope when meme gets the surgery that she has many years after of meorories to make with us.
I will let ya all know when she gets the sugery and how it goes.
Thank u again all my fv family. huggsss

If the tumor is small as you say and it hasn't passed through the colon wall then removal COULD be quite simple. But if they need to take a section of the bowel on either side of the tumor (to make sure they get all the cancer) then she will either have a temporary (reversible at a later date) or permanent colostomy.
I am speaking from experience with my mom. She has to have radiation prior to surgery to shrink the tumor. Then because the cancer was so close to the sphincter muscle she had to have a permanent colostomy.
My mom lived through uterine cancer, skin cancer, colon cancer, AND breast cancer. When she died, it was her heart that gave out. None of the cancers reoccurred or killed her.
GOOD LUCK AND LOTS OF PRAYERS GOING TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!Mary
