I had a follow up appointment with my doctor this
morning.
She couldn't believe that the hospital didn't do a
CT scan of my abdomen and pelvic area. They
will be calling me with an appointment to get that
done.
Surprisingly, her palpitating exam of my abdomen
on the left side discovered a painful area that is
worse than the right. It isn't "felt" like on the
right side, but is definitely there.
I will report back when I have the results of the
scan.You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

Well, I got the results of my CT scan this morning.
I have a very large fibroid at the back of my uterus
close to my colon.
They are scheduling me for a colonoscopy as it is so
close to my colon.
Just wanted to update.You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

They usually shrink with age. I have them and mine have shrunk. They have newer surgical procedures that are not as bad as having a hysterectomy. They can now go in and cut the blood supply to the fibroid. They call it embolization - it seems less invasive.
