What vitamins do you take and why
Do you take them daily or just when you remember?
Certain ones that you really believe in?
One's you know that make you feel better?
Do you spend much on them or just buy a cheap brand?
Should I learn how to make a poll?
Just been curious so please share.

Vitamin C - to keep my immune system healthy
Calcium/Magnesium - for bone health. Side benefit - really helps calm down PMS. I take this 3x/day. Its in liquid form in a gelatin capsule. Each capsule is 1/3 daily dose and your body can only absorb so much calcium at once, thats why its spaced out.
Vitamin D - watched my hubby go through severe Vit D deficiency last year and I don't want to go through what he did. Plus my doc recommeded it. Who also went through a bout of D deficiency. You need vitamin D to help your body to process calcium efficiently.
Fish oil- started taking it for heart health. I keep taking it because it made me feel so much better mentally and emotionally. Side benefit - cleared up a bad case of chronic dry skin that was driving me crazy.
The C and D are in the form of powder in a gelatin capsule. I believe that it breaks down much easier in my stomach than a compressed pill.
I get my supplements online and the only one that is more expensive than buying them off of a store shelf is the calcium/mag. (Excluding shipping which is $5/order no matter how big your order is)“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I actually had a SpectraCell Analysis to find out my deficiencies. I take the following daily:
Vitamin D (muscle,bone & brain health)
Calcium (bone health)
Magnesium (migraines, bone health and menstrual cramping)
Vitamin C (immune health)
Selenium (thyroid)
CoQ 10 (heart and liver health)
B Complex (immune system)
vitamin E (skin)
L Glutathione (blood pressure)
Phosphatidylserine (memory; brain health)
Omega 3 Fatty Acid (brain health)
Super Lipoic Acid (anti-oxidant)
Cysteine Pure (blood pressure and eye health)
Zinc (skin health)
The levels of each vitamin/minerals that I take have reduced over the past year, now that I have built up a tolerance.
Perhaps the most improvement I have seen is in my ability to concentrate during the day and sleep at night. No more leg cramps at night and I feel energized during the day. I have perfect blood pressure and clear skin.
I highly recommend anyone talk to their doctor/health professional before taking vitamin supplements. There is a certain way to take each supplement in that some need to be taken with food and/or be taken at certain times of the day.
For basic replenishment, I'd suggest the basic supplements:
Magnesium
Vitamin D
Vitamin C
Zinc
Keep in mind that sitting in the sun for 10 minutes equals 10,000 IU of Vitamin D! That's prescription strength!

I also forgot to mention that my vitamin D was D3. The doc said that the 3 was very important.

I take the generic version of One a Day Essentials. I have a hard time taking pills and the One a Day Essentials are tiny, as are the generic version that I take. I Also have a bottle of iron pills but I rarely take them. I either forget or refuse because they stink lol. I think all pills stink and taste gross.

I take One-A-Day for Women. I take it in the evening after dinner (vitamins tend to make me nauseous). I spend about $3/month for them. Less if I have a coupon.
I also chew Tums for extra calcium. Cheating cuz I don't like milk OR the calcium chews.

Whole food multi- cause you got to cover your bases
Coral calicum- bones, teeth, heart
Vitamin C- immune and skin health
Vitamin D3- immune health, bones, teeth, blood pressure
Vitamin A & E- every so often because most people don't get enough and I'm one of those people
B-complex- because I need it
Pottasium- blood pressure & heart health
Iron-just me
I also take fish oil & cod liver oil, and lots of supplements and herbs, and herbal extractions, use oils for aroma therapy and massage.
I try to remember to take everything, every day but sometimes I don't take everything.
I buy the best I can afford and only formulas that are backed by real studies and have a good reputation. I'm worth the extra money for quality, even if that means I do without something to have them.
My family also takes the above and we juice for extra nutrition. Can't put a price tag on good health.~~~

I try to get my vitamins through food...forces me to eat better and make better choices which is a bonus. I try to eat from a rainbow of foods and keep up with the dairy. *knocks on wood* So far so good!

Cold Fx - I only take it when I feel very run down or am sick, its not a medication its an herbal supplement.
Vit C - I take only b/c the bf is really up in my face about it.
One A Day Weight Smart (w/green tea extract) - to help round out my deficiencies but sometimes I just can't take them...they're horse pills! Sometimes I can swallow em, sometimes I can take them in halves. Others times I just skip...its not worth the effort.
I try not to take too many vitamins or pills in general b/c I'm on so many now with my current condition.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Right now I'm only taking folic acid. It was originally part of a prescription to balance meds I no longer take, but it makes me feel better when I take it. I was taking a woman's one-a-day but it was huge and made me gag, and on top of everything I have to take for arthritis it was just too much to swallow.
I eat a lot of vegetables and I love being out in the sun, so I don't feel I "need" vitamin supplements.Use it up, Wear it out,
