Storm headaches
Do any of you get storm headaches? If so, have you found anything to relieve it?
Ibuprophen doesn't work for me when its storm related. I've been tracking and its the increasing pressure that's hurting not the dropping in pressure.
Maybe aspirin as a blood thinner?
This year has really been bad.LDR

Is it pressure like a sinus headache? I find that accupressure is good for those. Also sometimes a plain sinus inhaler (just salt water) or hot steam from a facecloth or hand towel.

It feels like the top of my head is going to blow off like in cartoons. Not around my nose but eyebrows and above, entire span of head front to back. But maybe could be sinus.
My mom says it sounds like high blood pressure but every doc visit shows I have low blood pressure. Its only like this during or right before storms.LDR

I have one of those microwavable heat packs. Its provided my husband much relief from allergy and storm related sinus pressure.

Make sure you are well hydrated so your body is not storing extra fluid. Warm rags help too. The low pressure systems and moon phases "pull" on the body fluids like tides. If you are storing extra fluid, you are going to feel it more.

Thank you for the input, all! I am going to make a rice bag that I can microwave in my office for next time.
Probably am dehydrated too, as usual.LDR

heating pad on back of neck and back of head is helpful!
drinnk lots of water
turn on a hot shower and steam up the bathroom and sit in there for a few. that is only temporary, but, still, helps
fyi...i had that awhile back and it got so bad that i went to the doc and had fluid in my sinus cavities and in my head. had to be on steriods for awhile. sure helped though. feel better

Thee are sinus cavities above your eyes that go back to near your ears and can even make your neck hurt.
Try points #2 and #3 here: Free face exercises from the time tested traditional Chinese health system.
Try point D from this page: Welcome to HerbalShop -- Acupressure Points for Relieving Sinus and Hay Fever If you can, lay on your back and get someone else to gently stroke the back of your neck.
Staying hydrated should help, too.Use it up, Wear it out,

Yes, I get a terrible migraine everytime there is a big weather change. Hot to cold. A storm coming. I can always tell. The only thing that has ever helped me is Excedrin Migraine. I get generic usually. Even the prescription migraine meds never helped.
I never looked at the moon phases but it makes alot of sense too.
Someone once told me the headaches were related to the barometric pressure????Truck paid off 12/07(paid in full)
