What do you keep in your first-aid kit?
My husband is a welder so one of the most used items we have is Collyrium eye wash. It comes with a cup that you put the eye wash in and then wash your eye. It will get out trash and alot of foreign objects from your eyes. It is soothing and does not sting so its good for kids. It has kept dh from the dr office several times. You can find it at target, walmart, cvs or wal-greens.

I will be watching this post..........and thanks for the name of the eye wash. That would be a good thing to keep around-- -especially in the summer when I will get stuff in my eyes.
I need to build one for my car. have nothing in there.
In the house --just the usual stuff......
rubbing alcohol
hydrogen peroxide
all sizes of band aids
tweezers
cortisone cream
anti-itch cream
Probably other stuff but can't think of it now.

Hey Katie.........
where did you buy this eye wash? is it a common item in a drug store or do you have to ask the pharmacist for it? Is it a special one that welders use....or ???
I looked and I have an eye wash......but not 'that kind'.....

I have a first aid kit in the camper and in both vehicles. The ones in the vehicles is bought kit. I add sunscreen and more bandaids to it.
The one in the camper has lots of sunscreen and bug spray in it. I also added a small sewing kit in the box. I use a shoe box to store all of it in.

It is found on the shelf close to the eye drops. Its not just for welders but it is the first thing our ER will do when you go in with something in your eye.

I bought a comprehensive one for our house. It's one made for extended backpacking trips, so it pretty much has everything I could ever think of for an emergency.
It's required by German law to have a first aid kit in our vehicles, so we have basic ones in our cars too.Wife to Air Force DH for 7 years.
