3 month hip replacement anniv!!
Yep, three months ago I had my total right hip placement.
What a new lease on life I have been given!!
I'm doing great! I can run up the stairs, garden, do whatever. Just recently, I've finally begun to be able to sleep on my right side post-surgery, that was a great milestone I was eager to reach - as it is my normal sleeping position!
Anyway, I'm loving the pain free life!!
(no way am I waiting so many years for my left hip to be done - I am actually considering it later this year!)Last edited by IntlMom; 04-13-2010 at 02:22 PM.

I'm glad you are pain-free! Pain is so tiring and takes all the joy out of life.
But, how you recovered with 3 children to care for, is beyond me, girl! You must be a tough Mama!______

That is so wonderful.. you know i had my first one done in july and it was really great but so slow to recover due to the other being in such bad shape (so dont wait) both of mine were really bad. this other one i am now 4wks post op (it was so bad it was fused) and i am sure you can imagine the pain and the restrictive living . But I still had the family, kids and all the stuff I had to keep going. Now I am 4 wks post op. recovery is so quick. I am now using one cane (slow and not too far at a time) the walker i am a wiz. I also this weekend did three flights of stairs.. I am praying to just one day roll over and sleep on my side..lol.. I can be you can relate.
I have been freed from all that pain, it really can take a toll on you. I was to the point where I couldnt even sit down.
Didnt mean to go on so long.. but congrats and yes, dont wait like i did..
keep me posted.
