Question Who is Dieting, and What Plan/Method Are You Using?

Are you following a specific diet plan or counting calories, or...?

I started South Beach diet yesterday. As I mentioned in another thread, I am going to try to do the full 2 weeks for Phase 1, but I may end up switching to Phase 2 sooner. Any phase of the diet is better than I have been eating, so it's all good.

I will be adding in WATP (Walk Away The Pounds) as well as exercising on the treadmill & recumbent bike.

How are *you* taking the weight off?

Good for you, that's great! I liked WW when I did it several years ago. My problem is that I absolutely need to attend the meetings, and that's not always possible. I tried online, but I guess I need to weigh-in in front of someone to be held accountable.

If for some reason I stop doing South Beach, I will make WW work with my schedule.

There is a meeting at lunch time near where I work. So I go there 1 day a week for lunch. Good luck with the South Beach. I know some people that did a great job with that diet.

No "S". No seconds (and I use small plates), no snacks, no soda, no sweets, except in moderation on days that begin with S.
I allow myself one "S" each weekend day. 5 pounds lost so far in 3 weeks.

I just started South Beach on Monday the 26th. My doctor put me on it to help me get off of sugar. I am on Day 4 and I feel like I'm finally getting used to it. I defintely feel better though.

Another vote for Weight Watchers! I have lost 60 pounds in the past year and am now working on maintenance. I started with a 3-month online membership and then kept going on my own, just reading message boards for support (no meetings). I also walk 30-60 minutes a day and strength train.
