What's your skin care routine?
I'm thinking of switching things up and want to see what everyone uses on their face. Please list specific brands, products, times of day you use it and how often!
Currently I use Mary Kay products. It is getting to be a pain because I don't know anyone close that sells it and I tend to get very close to running out and don't have enough time to order on e-bay and wait for it to arrive. It also costs quite a bit! I've recently been changing up my routine because I suspect I have rosecea (a mild form) and dry skin. I want to switch to products that are readily available at a store like Walmart and are fairly inexpensive and have a wide range of options available. (dry skin, oily skin, combo skin....varying degrees of moisture, etc.)
AM-I don't wash my face, I just rinse off in the shower. I use MK Day Solution and MK lightweight moisturizer. Then I use my normal foundation, powder, etc. I have done this for 2 days with good results.
PM-I wash face with MK Combo/Oily cleanser, MK night solution, MK, Oil Free Moisturizer (heavier cream). I use the heavier cream in the winter....and whenever my skin seems really dry. We are coming up on a time when I'll switch to the lightweight moisturizer, but not yet.

I use Lacura that you buy at Aldi. It is made in Germany and has great reviews. You can't beat the prices for the quality.
Hydrating facial cleanser in the shower
Q10 night cream at night
Wrinkle Remodeler(when I remember.
)
Hydra complete cream daily before makeup
Regenerating eye cream in the morning or night.
It's all under eight bucks for each!
The only downside is the Hydra cream sometimes is not enough moisturizer in the winter and then I will use Olive oil and drown my skin at night with it.
Also going to pick up some coconut oil because the reviews are better.
That is what I am using now but I also used Dove products and Kiss my Face products.

To wash my face and remove make-up I use aveeno cleanser from their positively radiant line. I also use regular ivory soap if I'm in the shower and forgot to take thecleanser bottle with me.
Once a week I give myself a facial scrub with baking soda mixed with water.
AM and PM i moisturise with spectro hydra care (cheap , unscented and non irritating)
if my skin is realky dry, I'll use glaxal base on the dry spots
that's it! Hope it helps!

I am emerging from a really bad time with my face. For roughly the past year and a half, I've struggled with acne-like crap. I was going insane thinking it was something I was eating (so I eliminated everything from my diet), to products I was using (so I went with sensitive skin stuff), to I must have eczema or rosacea.
Never had skin problems before so it really messed with me. I've always been a light makeup wearer - no foundation, just powder and some mascara. Let me tell you, I spent some dough on lots of products and came out liking the cheapest products best.
Now that my skin's almost back to normal, I think it was a menopause hormonal thing because I'm back to eating my regular stuff and no more bad spots and just a link pink on my cheeks. Sometimes I think I have mild rosacea too, because when I eat certain things, such as spinach, my face flushes.
Anyway, I use Purpose cleanser. The last time I went shopping, Wal-Mart was out of the liquid soap, so I bought the bar. Love it. Cetaphil would be my second choice but I like how my skin feels after Purpose. My skin is outrageously dry.
For moisturizing, I use L'Oreal's Skin Genesis line. They have a facial cleanser I will probably try again when my bar runs out because it's sitting in my drawer. Sometimes at night and in winter, I use L'Oreal's Advanced Revitalift (really rich and creamy).
AM and PM - Cleanse with Purpose and then moisturize
About once a week, I use St. Ives Apricot exfoliating mask.

Believe it or not, all I use on my face is Ivory soap and an oil-free moisturizer (knock off of Oil of Olay). I very rarely break out. These inexpensive products work for me!

I just started using Aveeno like brand from wal-mart. It was under $5 for a moisturizer.
In the am:
I wash with a foaming cleanser (I buy whatever is on sale with coupons)
Apply eye cream (Bath and Body Works line)
Apply store brand Aveeno moisturizer
I don't wear face make-up or powder. Just a little mascara and lip gloss
At night its the same routine (when I remember), but no mascara.
Once in a while I use a light scrub.

I was using DHC cleansing oil and ran out so I bought baby shampoo. I really like it!!!! Not over $25 a bottle either.
I use the olay prox night cream as an anytime lotion as I am fairly dry. I had gotten it as a freebie from vocal point. I did notice I was getting milia under my eyes so I quit using it there. It is ok but nothing spectacular for the price. When it is gone I'm going back to neutrogena lotion~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

I had to go to a dermatologist last year when my face turned red like a tomato. Turns out I have eczema. They recommended dove soap, cetafil, and neutragena products. At first I needed a prescription. Thankfully the tomato look only lasted a short time. I switched all of my makeup to neutragena and have had no further problems. Everyone has different skin types. Be careful with what you buy.

I use Ivory, Dove or glycerin soap on my face and a spf-15 moisturizer - either Dove or the walmart brand. I;ve had the more expensive kind, but frankly these do it for me. I do use a mineral foundation to even out my complexion, and that's really it.

beks, would it work for you to be the MK salesperson in your area? If you don't know anyone, maybe your area is underrepresented.
Also, has anyone had success with anything for beard and facial, but not head hair, dandruff? I'm just using the Walmart Equate dandruff shampoo when I shower to no avail. Even when I used to shave daily, if I was lazy for a day on the weekend it'd look like my face was falling off.

Every morning, I wash my face with a warm washcloth with several rinses. Then I put on some Lubriderm Sensitive Moisture lotion in dabs around my eyes and smooth it in. I use a bit more on my cheeks and forehead and neck. I wouldn't go outdoors without it because I'm sun-sensitive.
If company is coming, I use a light swipe of pressed-powder on my face and a slight dab of lipstick and clear lipgloss. Otherwise, I just swipe with face powder occasionally throughout the day as needed, and use lipgloss.
My hands get a lot of lotion, and I use whatever won't irritate my skin. Sometimes I use mint lotion for my feet or knees when they swell.
In the shower, I use Ivory soap to wash my face with a washcloth.
I have lots of freebies of different kinds of soaps, creams, cleansers and whatever, but I haven't got around to using everything yet. I've tried a few of the newer marketed products, and they're ok as long as they aren't too perfumed which makes my asthma react and gives me nausea after awhile, or if they have lanolin which causes me to break out in hives, and no alcohol or else my skin turns red.
I'm a little leery of the newer lotions because of their micro-particals which the skin can't filter out, and who knows where they're going to end up and there's no control over them.
Upon occasion, I give myself a home spa beauty treatment, and try out these potions, but months or seasons will pass before I'll think of it.
All in all, I have enough stuff for years, but the only lotion I'd never want to be without is Lubriderm Sensitive Moisture, because I have found it to be the perfect eye-cream. I used to have itchy eyes, and be rubbing them a lot, and once I started using this lotion, my eyes felt so refreshed. I'd recommend it to anyone, guys too, because it really relieves the stress, strain and discomfort of dry, itchy skin, is sensitive enough for the face but can be used anywhere on the body.

I used to just use Ivory Pure bar soap -- I LOVE the smell of plain ol' white soap. Then DH let me borrow his Clean and Clear Sensitive Skin face wash one day and I was hooked -- I cannot stop smelling the stuff! It's one of my daily pleasures. Getting into the shower, lathering my face up and then cupping my hands and breathing in the bubbles. Oh my goodness, it smells so amazing.
Moisturizer is usually aloe vera gel (DH swears by it), or whatever moisturizer we happen to have onhand. I am also a huge fan of Udderly Smooth, which as a great smell and is super smooth on your skin.
I also used to purchase a product from Johnson & Johnson, it was a tiny little bottle of face cream that was absolutely heavenly, but I'll be darned if I can find it anywhere.
When baby comes, I suspect I will be using a lot more plain ol' olive oil to treat dry skin.If you're interested in frugal living, minimalism and and

That's a good idea, but I had already tried that and well....it didn't work out so well. Plus there is a minimum order $$ amount that I wouldn't be able to use myself. I'm actually trying to get away from using those products.

cetaphil cleanser, garnier antifatigue undereye cream immediately after exiting shower, purpose face lotion w/ spf 15, and smash box primer.i try not to use the primer daily as it is a bit expensive.
