I want lunch but I don't want to drool

My dentist always numbs me up GOOOOD! I go in the late morning and my mouth is only just starting to get that tingly feeling by dinner time.
Drooling isn't a big deal for me, but I'm always afraid to accidentally bite myself and hurt myself without even knowing it. Until the Novocaine wears off, that is

My dentist advertises himself as pain-free dentistry and he means it.
I had to get two old fillings replaced a couple weeks ago. Both teeth are in my lower jaw, one on each side of my mouth. He gave me the option to get one done at a time so I wouldn't be inconvenienced with alot of novocaine. I told him to go ahead and do both since I'm already in the chair. My whole lower jaw was numb for a good six hours. I could barely talk, couldn't eat at all so I went and bought a large smoothie. I had to wait for it to melt some because I was too numb and it was too thick for me to drink.
Yeah being that numb for that long is an inconvenience but I prefer it to not getting numb enough, then having to stop in the middle of the procedure for more novocaine.
And guess what - I have another appointment later on this month, to get two crowns - both in my lower jaw, one on each side of my mouth. Gah!“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no

every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
