Just thought I'd pop in to say that the correct term is C-diff or clostridium difficile. We see so much of it at the hospital since so many patients are taking such strong antibiotics. The meds kill off the "good bacteria" and the "bad" C-diff bugs are more easily able to over grow. Immune compromised people can catch it from another infected person even if they are not on antibiotics themselves. The classic symptom is loose, foul smelling stool. The best advice is to avoid all unnecessary use of antibotics.
