What is a natural antibiotic....
i am wondering what a natural antibiotic is... I know of cranberries and garlic... I am wondering if there is anything else out there that would work as a natural antibiotic. I recently had an abcessed tooth, sinus infection and ear infection and was placed on alot of drugs and they did make me feel better however i am wondering what kind of long term damage these meds do to you..
Thanks for your help....

Colloidal Silver
Amazing stuff! I had an internal abscess that made itself known when it continued to fill with pus and push outward. I was lucky that it did that according to the doctor who informed me these kind often push inward and will obstruct the intestines. They become apparent only after they have blocked the digestive track and by then the infection is raging within the body and can easily be deadly. As it was I still needed surgery, required draining and packing with gauze by a visiting nurse twice daily after the surgery, major pain meds and massive antibiotics. It was extremely painful and I was desparately ill from the infection. As luck would have it after the surgery I again developed an abscess in the exact same area, and again it pushed outward, stretching the skin till the skin began to split and the pus leaked out. EXTREMELY painful. I went to the doctor who wanted to try big gun antibiotics before I went under the knife again, hoping it would cure the infection. It did not, so he began another course of antibiotics, the strongest there was he said, and nothing. The abscess continued to fill with pus and grow larger, the draining slowed, surgery and a hospital stay was looking more and more likely. The idea of yet another surgery was more then I could bear, and I decided to take matters into my own hands. I saturated cotton balls with iodine and kept wiping over the abscessed area, eventually it broke open and began to drain, I kept up with it so it would not close up again. I then started taking massive doses of 30 ppm colloidal silver. Over the course of two weeks the infection lessened, my fever continued to go down, the pain eased and eventually the pus stopped and I had no more drainage. I continued with the silver for 1 more week to make sure all the infection was clear. The infection has never returned again. The silver did what modern medicine could not. I'll never take another mainstream antibiotic again.~~~

Have you tried oil pulling? Coconut oil is supposed to be very effective for this. It whitens teeth too.

Instead of an ANTIbiotics, what about PRObiotics?
Rx antibiotics kill out (anti) both the good and bad "bacteria" (biotics). The average body with the average diet does not properly replenish the good bacteria. The sugars and processed products actually feed the bad bacteria. Probiotics add in the good bacteria which will grow and kill out the bad bacteria (which is why many get some tummy troubles when starting probiotics - the dead, bad bacterias are leaving the system - the worse the tummy trouble, the more the bad stuff that was in there).
Garlic, probiotics and grapeFRUIT seed tablets would be a nice mix.

In Europe, Ecchinaccia (sp?) is regularly sold as an antibiotic. And I can tell you that if you take it at the onset of your symptoms, it works quickly. My youngest son always has especially good results with this. I understand too, that taking the right vitamin combo with it, will help even more!
Hope you find something that works for you. After being hospitalized for 10 days with C-DF, I for one do everything I can to avoid anyibiotics. It's a compromised immune system (from chemo for me), and antibiotics that cause C-DF (don't remember the correct medical term). But whatever it's correct name is, it's becoming abundant due to all the antibiotic usage. Oh, and did I mention it's deadly?
Please let us know how you do! You're wise to ask about alternatives.

Eating a tablespoon of local honey will also help with allergies. I also reccomend the collodial silver - it works great!

I get our collodial silver from the local health food store. I always keep it on hand. We take it only when needed.

I wouldn't mess around with an abcessed tooth...too close to the brain. No Dr here, but eventually your sinus & ear infection would probably heal with OTC drugs + Netti pot for your sinus.

no i am not messing around with an abcessed tooth...
I took the antibiotics prescribed by my doc for that and the pain is gone...however i know that it needs to be pulled... appointment is wednesday at 2:00. I knew it should have been pulled when my dentist said he could fix it....I just knew it however i let him fill it and now lo and behold it has to come out so i am paying to have it filled and then pulled... ugh! However when abcessed the pain is unbearable or almost....so off i go to the dentist to have it pulled.. I was asking about antibiotics or things that help your immune system cause i am trying to make a life change and wonder if i continue to eat the good stuff that it would keep the bad things away....

Do your research and use caution with colloidal silver. If too much is ingested, it will turn your skin permanently grey/blue.

I use vitamin C and garlic together when I need an antibiotic.
For alleriges I use freeze dried nettles capsules, so people have luck with Quercitin also. Good luck.
