Have you found a McDougall cookbook? I recently found one at the St.Vincent de Paul here and I love it! Now that I bought this one I see it all the time at second hand stores. The one I have is called "The New McDougall Cookbook".
Glad that it's working for you!

Wow, this is very different then any diet plan I've ever seen. I looked through the recipes and I didn't see any fat at all. It seems like medically people's numbers really get to healthy ranges, so that's certainly a plus. I'm glad you like this and that it's working for you.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I can't handle that many carbs, regardless of whether they're complex or not. I find it so interesting how we each can be so different in the things we can and cannot eat, don't you? I'm so happy for you that you've found a program that works well for you!

Yep!! I've read about that too and believe it.

cheese=crack It's one food I crave, but the stuff is so nasty when you think about what it is.

I have a ton of McDougall recipes and I should get back to it.

I said I would post if I had anything I ate worth talking about. I don't see anything in this that the plan doesn't allow and let me tell you it is FABULOUS! I loved it.

    Russian Sauerkraut soup
    10 oz of tomato puree
    8 cups vegetable broth
    16 oz jar of sauerkraut
    1 onion, finely chopped
2 turnips , peeled and cubed ( any root veggie would do)
3 carrots, peeled and finely chopped
1 teaspoon caraway seeds ( essential for flavor )
salt and pepper to taste ( needed very little if any )

Put all the ingredients in a covered pot bring to boil and turn down to a simmer for one hour.

    Nutritional info: serves 8
    73 calories ; 1 gram of fat ; 3 grams protein ; 14 grams of carbohydrates ; 65 milligrams of calcium

I confess to liking it so much I ate 3 bowls!

Just looked it up online sounds good. I have been reading a lot about food and what it the best for our bodies. Eating things as close to the way they are grown comes in hands down the best way to eat. I can give up most of the stuff on his list. I gave up dairy products and meat a few years ago and felt really good. I have since started eating them again and don't feel so great anymore.

Thanks for sharing your success, hope I have some soon to share also.

Congrats on your weight loss to Ann.
