Zevia Soda's (Stevia & Erythritol sweetened)
Source: www.zevia.com - a Seattle based company.ZEVIA is the first all natural zero calorie soda. With only pure ingredients, ZEVIA contains none of the chemically processed artificial sugar substitutes, artificial flavors or artificial colors found in other diet sodas. ZEVIA is all-natural, has zero calories, zero net carbs, zero fat, and little or no sodium (depending on flavor).
With all the latest health trends and products, I wondered about this one and was unfrugal and splurged the $1.69 plus tax to try a can - Natural Ginger Ale. It had a very natural flavouring - more ginger then anything and less sweet. However there was an overwhelming taste during and after drinking it. Not sure if its the Stevia or the Erythritol.
I can see how the marketing aspect is great - all natural, no sugar and plenty of fizz & flavour. All w/o guilt but there has not been enough info about Stevia for me to research which makes me leery. On the flipside...splenda & aspartame and other chemical sweeteners aren't good for you either - I agree.
So I was wondering if anyone else here at the village has tried these sodas and/or drinks them on a regular basis vs regular soda. What did you think of these/them...whats your favourite flavour?
The cost for these here (Canada) is about $9-10/6pk or $1.69/can.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

I have not seen these, will check out Whole Foods the next time I am there for a laugh
- I really like Reed's Ginger Beer - it's not alcoholic, but a strong ginger ale. I ran across it when my husband was having some stomach discomfort, as ginger is a natural anti-nausea substance, but he had trouble drinking ginger tea or chewing on a piece of crystallized ginger. Anyway, it's delicious, and in my area they sell it in 12 oz bottles, but also in 8 oz bottles. And it has real ginger in it, not just artificial flavoring. I'm sure it's got sugar, but it's worth it to me. I drink vitually no soda pop, this one is worth the splurge.

We drink it. I will keep one in the fridge and if I am getting the munchies will take a drink or 2. Our price is not as high as your price though. We get ours for about $4 a 6/pk. We have the lemon-lime, root beer and black cherry. All 3 are good.

We love them. I only buy them when our Co-Op has them on sale otherwise they are so expensive. It is a nice sometimes treat though. My husband is a work out fiend and when he wants a lo-cal, not pumped with sugar, not horrible for you drink he takes a little vodka and their lemon lime flavor and treats himself with no guilt. I on the other hand like a cola float now and then.
I have five beautiful children and my wonderful best friend as my husband.
