Default Taking a Big Leap Here...

I have been trying to get back into the habit of running for a variety of reasons. I want to be healthy. I want to get in shape. I don't want to be fluffy. I want to feel good about my body and not obsess over it. Stress Relief. Etc. Etc.

Today, I am taking the plunge. I am signing up to run a 5k in October. It's the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I will be running with a group of friends. I'm nervous but excited at the same time. I am also running in memory of a dear family friend who lost her battle earlier this year.

Any runners have tips for me? Wish me luck!

If you haven't run for a while, you may want to check out the Couchto5K program for training. Just do a google on it, and it should find the website.

Find a good program, like Couch to 5k, and stick with it. Don't push yourself too hard, too fast, or you'll find yourself sidelined with an injury
