12 Unhealthy "Health Foods" We Eat
12 unhealthy health foods | Healthy Eating | Eat Well | Best Health
How many of these are we all currently eating?
I'll admit, I do love Booster Juice. I usually pick one with lesser carbs and use soy milk & add protein powder when possible. I usually pack veggies to eat beforehand to slow down the sugar absorption - ie fibre. And I do agree - the regular size of a Booster Juice IS my meal.2013: Year Two Of The Purge!

Boy............that popped my bubble.........I love dried fruit. But you can get the water in other ways..........and I know you should be drinking more water when you eat it. It can even dehydrate you.
I don't even get as healthy as Pita Chips.............nope........go right for the salt..........FRITOS. And the only reason I quit eating Cheetos is that they have MSG in them!
I also will have granola bars.......knowing how much fat is in them..........but don't have them that often. And iced tea and frozen yogurt...........but some of that stuff was talking about what you get at the mall.........they can be made healthier....The fruit smoothies for instance.

See yes and no. Your supposed to begin every meal w/ a glass of water so dried fruit not a prob. that way but if it has sulfides.
Ice tea/green ice tea not too bad unsweetened. We make in a suntea pot w/o sugar and don't leave it too long
The frozen healthy choice are the one that got me before. They got nerve. The meat is sub quality and the sodium may as well eat canned soup. And that is not my def. of low cal either. The thai lean cuisine contains 18 grams of sugar. No wonder I loved it.
And yogurt-after you put all the sugar and fruit-it's dessert.
They are selling stuff buyer -pay attention!!

Well, fat doesn't bother me, so I disagree with some of their choices. I know how much sugar and salt is in some of those foods, and I don't consider them 'healthy', as well. I don't sugar my tea and we buy low-sodium options when possible.
But I'm sure there are a lot of folks out there who just don't realize how much sugar and calories are in things like granola bars and fruit smoothies.Use it up, Wear it out,

Guilty of those diet frozen foods. Ugh the sodium. I guess it's sometimes a convenient thing.
Vegetable juice like V8 is healthy in beer.
FF, thanks for ruining my cheetos addiction. I didn't know they had MSG in them.

Boy I love my sweet & salty granola bars and frozen yogurt from time to time. I make my own smoothies at home to I'm good on that. But salad being unhealthy I'd have to disagree cause I don't put the fattening stuff and dressing on it. I love raisins but only eat the small boxes.

I love granola bars, but compare labels looking for lower sodium & sugar now. Kashi is really yummy! Love their cereals too! Until recently I hadn't even considered sodium or sugar content. Actually pretty shocked by the amount in most foods.
"Healthier" frozen dinners either have ingredients I can't pronounce or its loaded w/sodium. A no win situation, but lower in fat than most fast food. Sure its ideal to have extra homemade meals in the freezer, but not always a reality.
I think we can only try to make better choices. Guess its wise to realize we're walking through a mind field at times.
