anybody up for an endo pitty party? (maybe too personal?)
I could use a party, please! Have had major cramps for 2 days, but no bleeding yet ~ most likely tomorrow or Saturday.
It's been horrible since my very first when I was 14 (just turned 30), but my parents kind of blew it off. I don't see how they could ignore it, I was in the bathroom throwing up & having diarrhea, bleeding a whole lot, such cramps I literally could not stand up straight, but couldn't lay down cause when I laid on my side it felt like my uterus was ripping away from the lining. (anyone else go through this?!?)
Took a little over 4 years to have my son, and for that I owe everything to a reproductive endocrinologist! I went to see her after too many dr's said there was nothing wrong and it was all in my head. She listened to everything I had to say, and scheduled me for a laperoscopy where she found and scraped endo and a massive amount of scar tissue (95% of my pap's come back abnormal, so then biopsies are done). Got pregnant 2 months after the laperoscopy, and LOVED the 9 months without my period...lol
3 1/2 months after DS was born it came back in full force. Had me taking Ponstel (but our insurance only covered a teeny bit of it), so they now have me taking Vicoden (fun!), but I can't take it when I'm here alone with my son, ya know? But it has such an impact on my life, cause I can't run after my son, or be able to enjoy him the way he deserves. He (at 2) shouldn't have to climb on the couch to try and get mommy to stop crying.
Just had to have my little pity party, sorry it got so long!
Oh, this may all be caused by a drug my grandma took when she was pregnant with my mom...diethylstylbestrol. They say that there are no adverse effects to the grandchildren (there have been no studies, except for on mice), but the one's that I've been in contact with are exactly like me.

You poor girl! Sending hugs to you sweetie! I hope they come up with a solution for you. My oldest DD suffers like that, but then went on Evening Primrose Oil, and it did wonders for her. Have you ever heard of it? May be worth a try, considering all you been thru already, no?
I really hope you feel better soon. I hate hearing about people being in pain.

will definitely look into both of those, at this point somethings got to give! Thank you both for the suggestions!
DH and I have always wanted two kids, but if it doesn't happen soon, they can "gut me like a fish", I don't want it anymore!
Thanks again & hugs to you both!!

I know exactly what you mean. I would miss a week of school each month because of it. I have had so many surgeries to remove the endo. Of corse I was always told that they would not gut me because they want to try everything humanly possible before doing that. Jan 1st of this year I started and never stopped, March 23rd, I had an D&C done and removal of endo. Never stopped bleeding and continued until they finally agreed to gut me July 14th. I can honestly say that I have not misseed that pain one bit in the past month. I can truely sympathize with you. I hope things get better. The one thing that they told me to do that helped just a little was a week before starting to eat TUMS with Calcium. The extra Calcium helps relieve some of the cramping.

Been there done that, had the surgery. I don't think my mom had any idea it was so bad for me, none of her sisters apparently ever had this problem. And the stupid military hospitals were booked up so far in advance you could never get in to get seen when you were in pain, and when you weren't it was like "Well, what's the problem."
I hate my period. I asked my doctor for one of those Pills that prevents it entirely. Well, I have spots once in a while, but gawd it is so nice not dealing with that mess. If you are this bad off I can't imagine why they wouldn't prescribe it for you.Use it up, Wear it out,

YOu can complain to me anytime you want. I hated periods. Ugh. Menopause is the best thing that's happened to me since my kids were born.
If I were you, I would definitely look into the shots or pills that get it down to 4 periods a year. If they'd had that during my childbearing years, I'd have taken it.
Another thing they have now are those PMDD drugs. PMDD is like massive PMS, which was my main problem. I sure could have used those.______

When I do have my period it is just terrible awful. I cry and cry and cry and the back pain, oh my...its just so terrible. When I was in school you could bank on it that I could miss almost a week every month. But...my period is SO irregular which is almost okay with me because the pain is so bad. And would you believe they tell me I do not ovulate. So I don't ovulate, but I still get my stupid period sometimes. Ugh!!!
hugs to you all!!! <3

Hey ladies! sorry it took a while to write back to all of you! In the midst of all this, our water heater broke..lol DH took Friday off so that I could have some down time to feel better (thank goodness he understands this, even if he doesn't want to know), so when our 2 year old wanted a bath and we had no hot water, there went my "mental health day". Spent 11 hours working on it on Friday, running upstairs periodically to be sick.
My parents came from NJ Friday night, so on Saturday I ran around making my moms b-day dinner and trying to fix the damn water. Finally DH & my dad got it fixed and I dealt with my mom & grandma (mom's response to my pain is...oh sorry. She's never had issues like this so she doesn't really get it). They left this morning at around 5:30, so life should go back to normal, albeit painful for the next week.
I was on the pill that was supposed to help, but it doesn't. When I first tried it 7 years ago, I had my period for 9 freakin months. This last time I was on it for about 1 1/2 years, and got my period every 2 weeks (tried different ones too). At this point I'm at a lose as to what to do, before I had my son it was easy to curl up on the couch, but who can do that with a little one?
DH and I have always said that we want 2 children, and we're no-where near ready financially right now (although, who is every totally financially ready??). After baby #2, I do what to have it taken out! I can't go through this till nature decides it time for it to stop.
I'm so glad that I wrote here, cause now I know that I'm not nuts..lol And I wanted to tell ya'll that I'm sorry you have to go through this too! Tried a nice hot bubble bath, but it was only lukewarm...apparently I didn't give the water heater enough time to heat everything (go figure).
Thank you all for your advise & just being there! OH...AnW819 ~ sorry I cursed you!! Where in Jersey are you from? I was born & raised in Montclair.
Thanks again!!
Hugs,
Sara
