    Default What NOT to eat.

If you were going to make yourself a list of things NOT to eat as part of a healthier diet, what would be on that list?
I don't mean to lose weight, I mean just to be healthier in general.

For me Soda. I seem to think that a glass of Soda or Tea should always be in my hand.

To be healthier, I am trying to add more whole grains and less red meat myself. So far I have failed at that.

    I wish you luck!

Eat proper portion sizes, not what you are served at home or while dining out and KNOW what you're eating - real food vs chemicals, preservatives etc. Everything in moderation young man

    SODA
anything with high sugar - high artifical anything and high caffiene
    artifical sweeteners
highly colored items ( artifically )
    candy / cakes ( my weaknesses lol)\
    fried foods
so much more but drawing a blank .
but thereare certain things that are ok in moderation and certain things i think sociery has tricked us into believing its okay in moderation when it really has nothing good to it at all.

If it wasn't born or grown, don't eat it. If it has ingredients you can't pronounce, don't eat it.

and Omnivores Dilemma, In Defense of Food and Food Rules by Michael Pollan

These books really delve into what we eat and why we should think more about what we put in our bodies. Most of what American's think of as food is "food like substance"

If I cut out sugary, greasy junk like candy, cookies, potato chips and empty carbs like bagels I'd probably lose some weight!

Like someone else said: it's best to cut out anything not natural. I know the theory I just haven't gotten it into practice.
