    Default CT scan

Yippee, the ENT's office called and I'm scheduled for my CT scan next Monday. It's a week later than we wanted because of insurance changes but at least I'm getting closer to being able to breath and smell again. I made brownies earlier and DH was up. He said he couldn't wait for me to be able to smell again especially when I'm doing a roast in the oven.

Just an update on my scan. I had it done yesterday and saw the results immediately. It's no wonder I can't breath or smell anything. The Dr. explained the picture should be all black except where the bone is. Ummmm, there were 2 very small black spots on the whole picture. I'm so full of polyps he said they are starting to break apart and are causing me to lose bone! He said no amont of medication could help, which is what I have been doing for the last several years when I had sinus trouble(about 3 times a year). So now I'm waiting for them to submit to insurance to get approved, then someone from schedualing will be calling to pick a surgery date. I'm sure it will be after the holidays but I'm soooo looking forward to having my nose filet'd(sp?). I'll post when I have a surgery date.

It is always so nice to actually find out what is wrong--especially after years of guessing. I have been through this situation myself dealing with PCOS and endometiosis. They make you start to wonder if the problem is all in your head (for you I guess it is!!). A real diagnosis make you feel justified in your sufferings. Best of luck to you!
