Glam day with my Mom and Sis's
I wanted to share something my Ssisters and I started doing, and then we included our Mom. I am sooooo lucky. I have 3 great sisters, and mo is great too. We are 56, 54, 53, 49, and Mom is 75.
We get together about every 5 weeks at one of our houses and 'do hair'. We all found it hard and expensive to keep going to get our hair cut and colored at salons to keep covering out grey roots and get trims.
I've never been much of a 'salon' person anyway. Makes me uncomfortable.
So we touch up each others roots with an OTC haircolor that we provide, trim anyone's hair that wants a trim, and trim Mom's all the time, since she keeps hers short. Most of us have all-one-length hair (except Mom) so it's easy to do. And we put on coffee, talk about our families and laugh. We're all pretty good haircutters anyway.
Today, I didn't need a trim or color, since mine doesn't grow very fast. So I brought some of that green Queen Helene mint mask that you can get at Sally's. We all made out faces green and took pix. Fun!
Very frugal and a blast!

Sounds fun
Someday, you'll be especially glad you all took the time to do things like this with each other.

What a wonderful tradition!! Mahalo for sharing - can hear the giggles and laughter through your words!!
