Default ...and you broke your toe how?

As I was leaning over some boxes to turn off the AC at school today, I stubbed my toe on a small puzzle that was sticking out of the puzzle stack.

Didn't think too much about it - just sore, and then it started turning colors and expanding all around and hurting. So I had a neighbor take me to the Medical Group - many xrays later it was pronounced broken.

Still need to finish those darn dresses, but for now, I am going to take my pain meds and go to bed. Let's see what tomorrow shall bring.

~Well rats! Hardly seems possible that a puzzle could do that. ((hug)) Hope it heals really quickly and isn't too much of an inconvenience!~

Reminds me of my friend who messed up his face by tripping on a crack in the sidewalk and didn't catch himself because he had his hands in his pockets... ouch and lol!

    sometimes it's the craziest things....

sorry, and hope it heals "normal looking" - unlike my many broken toes that I simply "buddy taped"next to the other toe to "heal"

Ouch! You're the THIRD person in the last week I've heard has broken her toe! What's up with that?! Glad they gave you pain meds. At least you have an excuse not to exercise. May you soon be restored to perfect running order.

    Oh, those hurt so badly!

I broke 2 toes by taking our dog outside to put her on the chain (we didn't have a fence then)--it was dark, and I stepped on some of the chain and then she took off running after something and the chain yanked my toes to the side. Ouch.

Being a nurse, I knew they were broken when they swelled and turned purple (der..yeah! LOL!) I had to go to work, so I buddy-taped them, like IntlMom. Wore an old shoe and cut the toe area out. Being on them for 10 hours after that was grueling.

    Hope they heal soon!

Mahalo for such wonderful support and stories!! Yup - mine are buddy taped - the doctor put a cotton batting between the toes - I never would have thought of that!!

One good thing about this is that I am not that bothered by my sore throat now!!

I really hesitate to post some possibilities that came to mind!! However, did you wake up with a smile on your face too? So sorry, but I had to ask!!
