My sil eats a low carb diet and my bil and her haven't had potatoes in forever. Can you elaborate on this and as to why you eat potatoes. How much exercise do you do and what kind?
    Thx Pam
It's pretty much a plant base/Vegan diet. I try to eat how Dr. McDougall teaches. McDougall Program & Dr. McDougall's Health and Medical Center It's easy for me since I've been a Vegetarian for years anyway. I was a very strict McDougllar years ago. Most of my diet is starches, grains, vegetables, beans, and a little fruit.
It's just easier to read up on. Read the China Study. Potatoes (with no added fat) is loaded with vitamins, fills you up, and low calorie. It's totally opposite from low carb. lol Great for the heart! I'm not good at explaining so it's easier to read about the benefits of a plant base diet. There is tons of info out there.

The pancit recipe. But I made substitutions. I used vegetable broth instead of chicken broth, no chicken and amped up the vegetables. I added snow peas, summer squash, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, carrots and cabbage.
    That looks really good!! WTG!

Woohoo, we may have a cult here soon. Definitely read "The McDougall Plan." Explains it all. You might like John Robbins books too. "Diet for America and The Food Revolution." His dad started Baskin Robbins ice cream. Eat to live by Dr. Furhman is good too or Dr. Dean Ornish.

Vegsource.com has a ton of info.

Watched the last heart attack and fat, sick and nearly dead. Both were great.

A mini update...I've lost 8 pounds so far. Definitely not as great as Gabe's loss, but I'm not hitting the gym for hours a day.
