Top ten DIY beauty recipes....as seen in Glamour
Brown sugar and milk to exfoliate
Yogurt and honey as a sensitive skin and redness remedy
Safflower oil and sunflower oil as a scalp treatment
Petroleum jelly and raw sugar is a lip scrub
Dash of salt and water is a surf spray for hair. ( anyone know what a surf spray is?).
Rosewater and coconut milk for a relaxing bath
Warmed up olive oil as a prewash hair treatment
Green tea and water for a toner
Lemon juice and chamomile tea is a hair lightener
Epsom salt, almond oil, cinnamon oil, sandalwood oil, allspice oil, is a hand and foot scrub
The list states roughly equal proportions for all
I never expect Glamour as a resource for DIY fashion and beauty items. DIY: Search: glamour.com. Looks like they have quite a few tips.Last edited by McD; 09-08-2011 at 09:16 AM.

A surf spray is so your hair looks like you just came out of the water at the beach and air dried it. Kinda piece-y and windblown. I don't care for the look myself.

Thanks for sharing! I heard green tea and water is great to reduce redness in the face too. All you would have to do is pour it in a spray bottle and spritz it all over. The surf hair is like the beach hair look after the wind hand blown into it, while it looks very moist.

#1 - Ive used olive oil with regular white granular sugar and its worked out awesomely. Tasty too if you accidentally eat some.
#2 - I had my doubts but my skin felt refreshed and after a month...no side effects for me. I use toner anywhere from 2x-4x/day depending on the day.
I just boiled 1c water and placed 1 teabag and let steep until it cooled to room temp. Then poured it into an old toner bottle (not a spray mister type) and stored in fridge - a few extra steps to the fridge may be required to use this product though.
#3 - I've used olive oil with the epsom salt and its wonderful!
My salt is scented as well so its like aromatherapy!
