    Congrats to your dad! It has been over 19 years since I quit and it still think about cigs today. Anyone who has ever done it (quit) will have to admit it is not easy but way worth it.

    Congratulations to your dad! Here's hoping he sticks with it.

    Same here. 33-1/2 years smoke-free. It isn't easy. But now that I have asthma, I'm SO glad I don't smoke. I'd probably be dead by now.

    Congrats to him!! My dad smoked from age 18 to 55 yrs old, up and quit cold turkey after years of trying to quit. He's 69 yrs now and had not faltered. His doctor suggested he supplement his diet with niacin, your dad may want to ask his doctor about this.
