Any fat-burning supplement recommendations?
I'm looking for a fat burner that helps in the loss of a few more pounds to add to my routine. I work out three times a week with a mixture of HIIT and weight training and still have some unwanted pounds hanging around.
Any recommendations?

I have a friend that used Alli. It is a fat blocker. It worked for her.

I swear by OxyElite Pro. It's pretty pricy, but it doesn't make you jittery, and is an actual thermogenic (meaning you sweat more and work out harder when you work out). Helps with appetite control too, but you have to actually follow the directions and work out while you are taking it. Also have to eat healthy. There is no magic pill, but this has helped me break through a few plateaus while on my running plan. I don't eat fast food or junk food and am basically a vegetarian. Just FYI.

Yeah I have ASN Lipex right now and it's fine, but I would get massive headaches to go with it. I stay extremely well hydrated (two glasses of water in the AM, two containers of water at the gym and lots of water in the PM with a light snack) but for some reason, the headaches are a killer. I also drink lots of water the night before.
I've been doing well diet wise, avoiding fast food and eating as cleanly as I can. I have lots of carbs the night before, eat some protein before heading to the gym and afterwards, I try to eat some sort of vegetable. DH thinks I need some fruit after I work out.
I'll check out the suggestions so far though.

yeah, any negative side effects from oxyelite are from not drinking enough water. With any of them you need to make sure you drink a TON of water.

From what I've read and seen, there are no GOOD fat-burning supplements. They cost a lot and do nothing in the LONG term. Fat is built up by one thing only - more calories taken in than burned each day. To lose weight,(IMHO) you have to cut waay back or eliminate high calorie dense foods like sugars and white flour and stick with a lot of veggies, some fruit, and lean meat protein (or equivalent if vegetarian) along with whole grains. Figure out a diet plan with these and experiment with portion control. If you are maintaining or gaining weight, cut back first on the whole grains as they are calorie dense (but also nutritional dense foods). Along with diet - MOVE - sitting and eating doesn't help lose fat - activity does. Alternate aerobic exercises with weight training. The weight training helps maintain lean muscle while the fat goes away.
Like someone said - there's no magic pill. You have to work at it mentally and physically.BEF fully funded

Yeah my workout each week consists of three 1-hour straight workouts and my caloric intake is greatly decreased. A big problem with my diet is that with my IBS, I have a hard time eating a lot of vegetables and my body doesn't process certain items as well as others.
I've been drinking green tea for a whole year now, so I'm good on that level.
I reduced my portion sizes, too. Last night, we had pork fried rice but homemade, so I got to choose the ingredients and monitor how much of what I put into it. Bean sprouts, water chestnuts, carrots, onions, pork and cold rice.
In the four months that I have been working out, I only took supplements for one of them and I saw a drastic change. But when I stopped taking them, I saw a steady gain of weight come back. I'm still 10 pounds lighter than I was when I started and I've built some lean muscle in there, but with me, I always want more results.
Here is the workout that I started on Monday:
Push up + jump up (onto something like a bench or a clothes chest)
Alternating knee lifts (laying on your back and bringing your knee to your chest while lifting your arms up to touch your toes)
Clean and press + jump (or like I call it, sit squat and jump) w/18 pound ball
10 Ugi ball toe touches + 10 Ugi ball mountain climbers
That workout is here:

Then, I also do Good Mornings, Deadlifts, tricep work, then the Captain's Chair for 3 sets of 12 leg lifts and 2 sets of side oblique work (12 reps then too).
The first workout is in 10/50 intervals (10 secs rest, 50 secs workout) and it's 12 minutes long.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

The Canadian Food and Drug Act and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are both very particular about what comes into Canada and what is not. The standards are a lot more strict than in the United States, so I'm very careful about where I get my supplement from. I bought mine from a Health and Natural Foods store and inspected all of the ingredients, plus I follow the label explicitly to the letter.
I've been fine with taking supplements in the past, both when I lived in the US and living here in Canada.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Not a fan of any 'supplements' b/c there's no real ability to streamline or equally test everything and be able to hold it to one standard. My best friend died from a massive heart attack b/c he was trying a fat burning 'supplement' that worked great for his friends and came highly recommended to him. FYI my friend was in perfect health, no bad family health history and very fit and toned. He didn't have any fat to lose but apparently thought he did. He was like you MTTB, not happy with what he had already loss.
Please do not think you need to lose more "anything" to be happy. We'd rather keep you here with us on this earth alive and kicking
