Count me in! I've already started working on it.
I am about 50 pounds overweight and have a sedentary lifestyle, and a decades-old sleep disorder. I also have been under a great deal of stress for the last few years, and it has led to some frightening medical "events", though no actual ongoing conditions (other than the weight and sleep deficit). My weight interferes with my activities. I have recently been given free reign to any kind of exercise I choose. I am trying to make better food choices and to exercise portion control. I want to work up to walking 2 miles at time and to lose 25 pound by the end of the year. So far, I am 2 weeks into an exercise program and have gained 3 pounds - still pursuing it.

Count me in..
I've gotten very "fluffy" since I busted my elbow, shattered my spine and ended up with more nerve damage in my left leg that I care to talk about..it's made it hard to do alot of things..including walking/sitting/laying down for long periods of time. I am still on a 1lb lifting restriction due to the damage in my arm. And I need a big kick in the butt to keep me on a diet..
I also need to get my blood sugar back under control. I'm an emotional eater-most times I don't even realize I'm eating stuff I shouldn't..who can pass up fresh hot bread???...
I also need to get my husband in gear because he has screwed around with our finances for too long and I'm sick of being broke all the time..I JUST NEED HELPPPPPPPPPP...

OK, I'm confused. I signed up from the link and I'm waiting for activation email. Is this an old link, or do we even need to sign up through it?. In any case I'm in.
As to how I feel about my current weight?
Old and out of shape in a nutshell.
I'm not very overweight but I'm definaltely feeling out of shape. I'm getting married again next year and I want to be in shape. I stopped smoking almost ten years ago which is a good thing since I was diagnose with asthma 3 years ago. It amazes me that for someone who used to be such a health nut, I have done some really stupid things in my life. The older I get the more I realize everything I do has an effect on my body one way or another.
It's time to take back my life and hold myself in accountability.

Just want to update, I'm actually at the weight I should be according to my doctor, soooo I'm going to try to concentrate on toning my disappearing muscles. I've started with my upper arms since I'm tired of seeing my meat falling off (that's what I use to tell my grandma about her arms). I want to wear those cute sleeveless tops this summer.

Sign me up I am ready to make some big changes to my life.
How you feel about your current weight and/or appearance: I hate the way I look. I let myself go and that’s the truth.
How you feel about your eating habits and problem areas: I binge eat, I emotionally eat, I eat when I am bored. I purge, or go days without eating.
Why you want to make some changes: I want to be there for my daughter I want to be able to play with her outside and not get winded; I want to look better for myself. I am starting to finally work and deal with my mental health and childhood stuff, and I want my body to reflect the good changes that are happening.
Your overall goal whether it's short term or long term: I want to reach at least 160 pounds.(so that’s 90 pounds I need to loose) For my height (5’7) it says I should be 136 but I don't think that will happen I think 160 is more reasonable. I want to quit smoking ( I am almost there) I want to be in shape, and my secret goal I want to run a 5k marathon next summer.2012 Challenges
