LFL Club: Who has problems drinking water?
I can motivate in this area because I can drink 8 and then some glasses of water a day. It does help that we have a water cooler, so water is always cold and staring me in the face.
If you need some motivation in this area, let me know.
I can say this much, once you drink water regularly you prefer it over most other beverages. I can't even drink pop without it tasting way too sweet.
Regular water intake is the number one easy way to lose a few pounds in your first few weeks of getting healthy. It's not just great for losing that extra retention you're carrying around, but it's a good way to flush out your system.
If you haven't had a glass yet today, go get one with lots of ice and enjoy it.
As you drink it say outloud, I love ice cold water.
Get a tally sheet if you want to kinda keep track of how many glasses you have had in a day or just keep a jug in the fridge and drink it until it's gone.
Happy first day of regular water drinking.

There are days that I can drink it and days I can't!!!! The problem I have with drinking so much water is that I am constantly in the bathroom because my poor bladder can't handle all that water!!!! I tend to not drink the water on days I have to run a lot of errands, which ends up being several days a week!!
Does it get easier as you get use to drinking that much water?

I looove water, and I also think pop is too sweet usually. When going out to eat or other peoples homes I usually always choose water mainly because it sounds the most appetizing

We have a water pitcher filter so I usually remember to drink it when I open up the fridge
I'm always refilling that thing at least 3 times a day, and I"m the only one who uses it
Some days I forget to drink as much as I should if I get busy though.

For me, at first when I was drinking the water I was constantly running to the washroom, but then after awhile, my body just adjusted and it wasn't a "constant" or "urgent" type of thing. I'm not sure if this is the same for everyone though.
I do remember in the beginning drinking just one tall glass and feeling like I was running to the washroom nonstop. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. When I leave home, I like to fill a bottle with water for the road trip. I find this helps too. I would think if you brought a bottle/glass to your computer desk it would prompt you to drink it too.
If it's always accessible, I think most people will tend to drink more.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I'm usually pretty good about it at work, because I talk so much while teaching, my throat gets dry. When I'm home, though, sometimes I'll go an entire day without drinking anything. I just forget about it. However, today, I've had 2 glasses of water so far and a huge mug of unsweetened hot tea.

We have great water and I know I should drink more. Okay, I'm going to start, my downfall is coffee. I drink it non-stop, so if I can drink that all day I'm sure I can drink water. Wish me luck!

I like water but usually just forget to drink it, I need to work on this because I know I don't drink enough. Gave up sodas a long time ago, now I only drink soda if I have stomach flu or upset stomach, it's so yucky sweet.

I love water also and keep a pitcher full in the fridge at all times. Its just getting used to drinking more and so today will be the start of something new. Drinking more.
When my mother at 76, lost almost 40 lbs. this summer and has successfully kept it off, drank glasses and glasses of water every day. She found at first she was always going to the bathroom, but now has gotten so she doesn't. I think the body probably adjusts to the amount of water we drink. I'm sure once the flushing of all the junk is out of our body, we probably won't find the need to run to the washroom as often.

I read in M & F Hers latest issue that you should drink half your body weight in water {in ounces} for me that's 91.5 ozs...so I am going to try and go for it.... I may float away, but it'll be nice to know that it's real water and not water retention from my sodium intake...

I love water! I like it ice cold though - if it's lukewarm I can't stand it. Our water isn't the best tasting so we have an Eagle Springs filter on our fridge and it makes an enormous difference.

My water jug with the spout on it just sprung a leak {or I just noticed that the two gallons of water I bought yesterday is now all over my meat shelf....
Oh well. I wish this would have happened a week ago, cause I said when it went I was going to buy a tap-mounted filter {any suggestions?} and I've already spent the $50 gift card I got for Christmas on other stuff....

I am a water drinker, seldom drink anything other than decaf tea, and water.
And I drink lots of it. Guess that is one hurdle I don't have to conquer.
