I'm a newbie so I skimmed some past posts and didn't ran across any threads pertaining to this so if I missed one plz excuse me.
I was just wondering if anyone has any favorite inspirational notes or sayings that's helpful for them that they would like to share with us.
Is there anything you say or do or keep that helps or keeps you inspirational along the way?
I would think that a picture of me in a bathing suite would be ALL of the motivation I could ever need.
Other than that, just subscribing to the threads in the LFL forum and participating in the threads, should be of tremendous help for me in reaching my goals. ( I hope!)
I know this sounds trite, but it really has helped me:
Just Do It!
There are a million excuses to skip the gym or finish up that ice cream. If I had to decide each day whether I FELT like sticking to the program, I would never get anywhere. Just Do It! I don't have to enjoy my workout (although I usually do), I just have to do it! Cut through the bull, the excuses, the laziness, and Do It!
No sayings here, but I have to be honest, being held accountable to others really seems to work for me. After having dd, I belonged to a weight loss board that a friend of mine started. We posted everything we ate, how much water we drank, and how often we exercised. Knowing that someone else was looking at that information kept me motivated. So, being accountable to all of you is my inspiration!
I have this reminder, of sorts.. it's called They Don't Allow Whales At Cedar Point.. that and the simple gravitational fact that the heavier you are, the more likely you are to be the lump of flubber that gets ejected from the coaster in an inverted spin....
