Is anyone here dieting?
If so, I would love to have a dieting "buddy"...someone to keep me good.
I've been doing so well lately, but today, due to stress, I am the poster child for "what not to eat on a diet" *LMAO*
Please let me know if you're interested.
Thanks!

Same here!
I have the "tomorrow" problem. I eat healthy....then I eat something I'm not supposed to.....which turns into me eating more bad stuff throughout the day....and then the famous, "I'll start tomorrow"
Well, my son is 14 months old....that's alot of tomorrows, don't ya think? lol
sometimes i need a kick in the butt!
and I'm a good ear if you need one

Thanks Nicole! I do the same thing..."I'll just be really good tomorrow" or "well today is shot...one more cookie can't hurt THAT much", etc.
My youngest will be 2 on the 28th, so I've been doing the "there's always tomorrow" even longer than you! LOL

I found this site. It's got a great listing of foods and calories. I have a little pocket one, but this one online is pretty good.

sure...but I'm not going to start until the New Year. I know everyone says that, but I don't want to set myself up for disappointment if I overindulge during the holidays when I'm trying to diet at the same time.
I will, however, up my water intake and snack on raw veggies so my hunger isn't too great. I will also attempt to do some form of aerobic exercise so I don't freak out when I step on the scale LOL

Agreed, seeing as I have increased my cookie consumption this past month. *LOL* New Year ~new start. I am motivated to lose this weight! *LOL* I am focusing on decreasing my coffee intake and increasing my water. I drink about two -three cups per day of coffee. I would like to get it down to one. Now if I can just put that gym membership to use. I feel so ridiculous for having one and not using it.

Hi Chelle!
I'd love to be your diet buddy! I've been dieting since June and have lost 20 lbs. I've been at an evil plateau since end of Oct. Come the new year, I want to refocus and kick this thing in the butt so I can start losing again!

I need to lose about 35 pounds to be really happy with my weight. 20 would be awesome, so I am going to start with a mini goal of 20 pounds.
How much is everyone looking to lose?

Cool!!
It's a deal Chelle!! Do you or Sara have ICQ or IM? Maybe we can all support each other on this journey!! My ICQ# is 110072957
Like I've said, I've lost 20 lbs, and would like to lose another 20, to atleast get me to my pre pregnancy weight. I've been hanging on to 40 lbs of "baby fat" for the last 2 years. Maybe when I get to my goal, I may try to lose more, but I figure 40 lbs is a big enough pill to swallow for now!
That's too funny we're almost neighbors! I live 3 miles from Lake Winnipesaukee, just outside Laconia.

I need to lose at least 50-60 lbs. Everyone disagrees, because of my height, but i'm a heffer and i admit it! LOL

I was like 30 lbs over weight when I got pregnant (i weighed 200lbs) and I shot up to 265 when I had him. I lost the normal 20 lbs just from having him. That left me at 245lbs. Now i'm around 232 lbs. I think I should be 170. That would be GREAT!
even 200 would be great again! Oh yeah, 170 may still sound like alot, but I'm almost 6'0"!
thanks nicole
ps---i don't have a scale to do a weigh in!!!
(thats a good thing lol)

Here's a site that is good for keeping a journal. It's like a diet manager.

I have no willpower. sniff sniff
Chocolate calls me and I can't resist.
I have made an effort to cut down on coffee and increase water.
Now if I can just get my carcass to the gym.
This is truly a very weak area in my life.

No willpower here either...it's really bad. If there are cookies in the house or any other sweets for that matter, I can't resist.
So...I'm back to doing WW and Scandiet. I am also using the Fitday.com site that Sara mentioned above. It's really cool--you can record everything you've eaten for the day, and it gives you a chart of what percentage of fats vs. protein etc you've eaten.
I've got a mini goal of losing 14 lbs by 3/31/02--9 weeks. I should be able to do this.
I'm tired of hating the way I look--now is time for a lifestyle change. More fruits/veggies/water and exercise!
Anyone with me?? We can do it! LOL
