Water Consumption
Well, I've hit an obstacle with my water consumption. This was the one area where I was doing great. I have a mug in my classroom and I drink water all day long. At one point, I have 3 classes in a row, which totally dries out my throat, so the water wasn't just for health reasons, but also for comforts sake. Our new principal has decided, however, that we are not allowed to have mugs or cups in our rooms since we don't allow the students to have drinks with them in class. The reason this angers me is because 1)I'm not 13 and can be trusted not to drop my water on the ground or be distracted by it during class. 2) I can't use the pass and go get a drink...especially during my 3 in a row, it's 2 hours where I do not have the option to go to the bathroom or get a drink...the kids just have to ask to use the pass and they can drink all they want. So, this has been difficult and I've found that since he made the rule, in the past 2 weeks, I'm drinking only about 2 cups of water a day...I was doing 8 a day! Not good. I've noticed changes in my skin and my lips are really chapped and dry as a result. So, this is a struggle.

That's ridiculous if you ask me. Maybe you could sneak a water bottle in your desk?

What is the punishment for bringing it in?

I know how it is to have a new principal, I have a new one this year too. She is a nightmare somemtimes. I am so determined not to allow her to pi$$ me off tho. Maybe you can go to your doctor and get a note that says that you must have water all day long, maybe that will fix that principal
