    Default LFL: Saturday Challenge!!

    Ok girls I want you to first stretch your legs, touching your toes to stretch the back, and also stretching your quads by pulling your leg back behind you.

    After you are good and stretched, we are going to do LUNGES today!

    I have a link that shows how to do proper lunges and PLEASE don't laugh, but it's a girl scouts site It was the only one I found so far that wasn't a burly guy holding huge dumbells. Although if you want to make this even more challenging feel free to hold dumbells while you do them.

    Just remember to keep your abs pulled in so you work that area as well, don't over extend your knee past your ankles, push yourself off the floor back to starting postion by using your heel. I think that covers it

    I'd like us to do 15 per leg, repeated, so a total of 30 lunges per leg. You can do alternating one leg then the other for a total of 60, or do 15 one leg, 15 the other and then repeat.

    When done, stretch the front of the thighs again for 12 seconds each leg.

    Lunges are great to add into your daily walking routine if you do that. I do it when I do my jogging to break it up a bit. I just wait till there are no cars around

    If lunges are not something you can not
    do for any reason, then just do leg raises for 45 seconds on each leg with stretching before and after

    This is just what I need, and I am trying hard not to laugh. When my family sees me do this they will for sure, but its okay we need to laugh here!
