    Misty, my insurance is paying for the whole thing. I have military insurance. If you are a cash patient I believe the cost varies between 12,000 and 20,000 depending on what type of surgery you have. That is not including any pre-op work, labs, classes you have to attend or any follow up. My aunt said hers was about $100,000 after everything was totaled up. But her insurance paid too.

    Jodi,

    I just emailed you through the board. I was searching for posts on GBS and came across this one. How'd your surgery go? I just got home from an appointment with my PCP. She referred me to the bariatric surgeon and also for a sleep study. I am Tri Care Prime too. I think that's who you went through also, right? I am now trying to get as many pre-op appointments done as possible before my dh deploys the end of June. I will have to wait til he returns in November to schedule the surgery.
