I have "no fear" when it comes to baiting a fishing hook with anything. Growing up, fishing was just another way for Mom and Dad to put food on the table and all of us girls fished and baited our own hooks. We were just raised to believe that it was a natural and normal thing to do. I made my kids start baiting their own hooks as soon as they were capable of knowing that the hook could hurt you.

No I'm not afraid of it, but then I haven't done it in MANY years!! I have no desire to stand on a river bank being eaten alive with bugs to catch (and hurt) a fish I will throw back in!

Did you figure out I don't like fish???

LOL Tammy. I am the opposite, I can do worms but not minnows. I just can't bring myself to stab that poor little fish,LOL, the worm on the other hand just reminds me a little mini snake, yuck, I don't mind sticking it at all. I can't take the fish off the hook though, I have to get someone else to do it. I am ready to do some fishing, we are going camping in a few weeks at the lake.

    Blessings,

    LOL
I don't mind baiting the hook with worms-anything else no way!! But I am like SewCrafty-Why bother, when I am just gonna throw it back anyways-That's another thing though, I CANNOT stand taking the fish OFF the hook. I know it must hurt the fish and it is something I just can't do. I am not a squeamish person, but I just can't bear to unhook a fish.

I bait my hook.... if you don't bait your hook, you don't fish around here!

We use minnows, worms, leeches, maggots, chunks of fish, fish guts... whatever works.

    LOL Gross you all out?

I'll put a worm on a hook but someone else will have to take the fish off the hook and help me get my hook unstuck if it gets snagged on something. I enjoy fishing, but as you can see I'm not much fun to fish with.

I've always baited my own hook. Never even thought about it being gross.
