Default I refuse to give up!!

I still can't post a weight loss, in fact I am 2 pounds heavier than when I started trying to lose. Aargh!

On the positive side, all the exercise is doing me good. I am seeing and feeling a difference in my body and I have more energy. So even though I haven't dropped any pounds I AM making progress and I will not give up. This is something I am doing for my self-esteem and for my future!

Sounds like what's happening with me, I noticed my scales are showing i weigh more than when I started but I just don't get it because I know I feel better now than I did before

I met with a personal trainer at the gym and he said that you SHOULD gain weight at first when you start exercising...if you are losing weight when you first start exercising, it means you are losing muscle..his reason was that your body's muscles need to hold onto the water in order for them to get to the percentage (I think it's 55%) required to start releasing the fat....does that make any sense? In any case, I think if you continue doing what you are doing, the weight will start to come off soon. Don't be discouraged...focus on your new habits and how exercising makes you feel...the rest will just follow.

Hang in there everyone! Theresa is right! You are gaining muscle from working out (that you didn't do before) so you are getting healthier! Keep up the exercise and the good work! {hugs} to all!
