    Talking I Did It!!!!!!

I went for a walk! All by myself !!!
Ya know what??? it was scary, especially the dog part. But I surrvived!
And the dogs name is Jake and he and his owner are very nice!
I took the first step, now I just need to keep going, and vary my walk to avoid the other dogs and owners who think I am an alien. I actually saw 1 lady get in her car and drive 2 houses. Very odd to me!
now to work on tomorrows motivation!

Are you afraid of dogs? In any case, congratulations!

Go Melissa, you can do it!! We are all cheering for you. Just think of all the energy you are going to have not to mention the muscles you'll tone. You Go Girl. I started jogging Saturday with dh & ds. I never thought I'd make it to the end of my drive way but I can go farther than I thought. Not really a jog more like a bouncey walk! lmao. But I feel so much better, makes me want cigarettes that much LESS! so it's doing two great things for me!!

WTG! I worked out for the first time today, and I felt so good about it. But, I know where you're coming from about tomorrow's motivation.

Melissa, how about a walking stick? I see many walkers with one, and I think they are to ward off a stray dog. Just find a nice one and maybe sand it a little, heck even varnish it and take it every time. It might help you feel a little safer.
