    Question Homemade lip gloss?

Has anyone made homemade lip gloss? If you have, what containers did you put it in? I think this might be a cute add on Christmas gift even.

This is great. There are so many links online for homemade lip gloss. I hadn't thought of making this as a homemade gift before. Thanks. Now to find some inexpensive containers.

    from eharlequin:

    Scent-sual Lip Gloss

This recipe will add sparkle to your look, and only takes a minute or two to make. Best of all, you choose the color and the fragrance. If you don't have any favorite scents, vanilla, peppermint, and orange are great — they taste good, too! Store in an airtight container, or an old lip balm container.

    1 tablespoon of petroleum jelly
    ¼ teaspoon of lipstick
4 drops of flavored oil or extract
In a small bowl, mix petroleum jelly, lipstick, and oil/extract. Use less or more lipstick, depending on color preference. For a less fragrant gloss, use two drops of oil/extract. Once finished, put into container and enjoy.

    from thefamily.com

    Bev's Honey Lip Balm
    1 TBsp honey
    1 tsp melted beeswax
    2 tsp almond oil
1/2 off the top off a pink or red lipstick to add color.

Melt the honey and beeswax together and then add the almond oil.
When it is all mixed together, add the lipstick and stir in gently to spread the color.
Pour into a screw top jar (I save old film canisters and they work well, or use an old,
washed out Carmex container). Put the lid on tightly and shake well.
Let is cool and set and pop into your purse!

I got small, metal pill boxes at the Dollar Store (3/$1) and put my lip gloss in those.

These are my favorite lip gloss recipes:

I add this poem, to ones I give as gifts:

I have this pot of lip gloss,
I'll put some on each day.
I do it to remind me
To choose the words I say.

    another example...

    I'll speak with kindness
To all that I may meet
    I'll have fun spreading happiness
    To everyone that I greet!
