You won't believe what a man said to me today-long

I was on break today (I'm a cashier), and a customer, Arnold, came in. He looked at me and said "Is that all you do, eat?", and I said "no". He said "If you don't stop eating you're gonna be 200 lbs before you know it", "You're 2 times bigger than me". "Fat a**". I got up from my seat and ran to the bathroom and cried. There were about 12 people in the store. They all heard it. They all seen my darkest moment.

He left, and I called my dh, and my best friend to tell them about it. Both were extremely angry. Finally, someone came in the store that knew Arnold, and I asked him for Arnold's phone number. I called his house, and cussed him from one side up the other. When he first answered the phone, I politely told him that he had hurt my feelings, and then he said "well, I was just joking with you fat a**"

I let him have it. This man has no teeth, he is extremely nasty (looks like he barely ever takes a bath), and I told him so. I told him that for someone to smell as bad as he did he shouldn't be talking about someone else's weight. I said "You're nothing but a low life skank". He hung up on me.

Then, his wife called me back, and she started cussing me out. I let her have it, too. I told her that if she had a problem to get her butt to the store, and I would clock out, and personally kick her butt. She hung up on me.

I called my boss, and told him right away. He was so understanding, and told me not to worry about it, that Arnold had no business talking to me like that.

I know that I have gained weight, but girls this has hurt me in the deepest way. I just don't know how I am going to get through it.

BTW, dh said that the next time he saw Arnold that he would definitely be apologizing to me.

I love my husband.

I'm sorry that jerk opened his mouth. Consider the source ~he is a mess of a person who doesn't care for himself let alone others.

I'm sure everyone that heard his comments wasn't thinking badly of you, they were thinking about what a total a** this loser guy was.

Seems to me this guy is so unhappy with his life he has to spread it to someone elses!
Ugh! Jenn you are doing great. Just try to ignore people like him (i had a sister like that, I cut her loose and adopted CJ instead!)

It isn't easy but you have us and a supportive dh, what more do you need????

When people act like that all I have to think is Wow! they must have a really miserable life. I know this come as no solice to you now but he will eventually have to answer to Him and things like this will be noted. Keep your chin up and don't let him bring you to his level.

Oh my gosh! What a jerk! My grandma always told me...people can only hurt you with words if you let them. I've tried to follow that. Does his opinion really matter to you? Do you really want him to have the satisfaction of knowing that he hurt you? He is not worth a minute of your time.
