Did/do you have long hair and when did you cut it?

I have almost always had long hair. I cut it about five years ago quite short, but have gradually grown it back.

I'm no spring chickie and know it's almost time to let it go.

When did you cut your long hair or when do you plan to?

I have had long hair at several different times in my life. For the past couple of years I have been keeping it somewhere around the middle of my shoulder blades. That was fine for a while, but then it started seeming too long. I found myself wearing pony tails every single day because I just didn't want to mess with it. So a few months ago I got it cut so it just barely brushes the top of my shoulders. I also got a lot of layers put in, so no more pony tails. I like it a lot better and I think I look younger, I'm 27. I also think it makes my face look prettier. Of course a lot of that may be because I was so used to seeing myself in a pony tail, so now my hair isn't so severe. Make sense?

I go thru phases- I'll grow it down to my waist, then lop it off up to my shouldars- my hair would be the same length all around, no layers. I had my hair cut about a year ago into layers- I just got sick of it looking like I never brushed it, always in my face. At my last hair cut, she gave me a bob, with my hair even with my chin, I also had it highlighted. That was a shocker for me, but it's sooo much easier to keep up with

It was waist length for years, then about 18 mos ago I went mid back. DH is really opposed to me going shorter--he actually helped me detangle last week after I fell asleep without a ponytail. I'll probably keep it at least shoulder length, unless DH really annoys me with something
