Default Is anyone following the Weight Watchers program?

I went once, bought the books, and I'm doing it w/ out paying $15-$20 each week for weigh ins-meetings(Me and my friend planned it like that, we're cheap! LOL)

Is anyone following it? If so, how r u doing?

    Thumbs up

    I do...off an on. LOL

Last year I lost 15 lbs in 5 weeks on it (and that was without any exercising), and I thought it was pretty easy. Then the holidays hit, and I ate way too many munchies. I also stopped going to meetings. I think that was the biggest problem for me. It seems I need to be "embarrassed" into losing it--in other words, I was far more motivated when I knew I was going to have to weigh-in in front of someone. I couldn't bear the thought that they might say "oops, you're up a lb. this week" or anything similar.

It's funny because even now when I eat, I remember how many points each food I'm eating has. For example, this morning for breakfast I had hot cocoa (2 pts), a Lenders bagel (2 pts), 1 tsp jelly (1 pt), and 1 apple (1 pt). I can remember all of those without even calculating them.

I would be interesting in doing this program "with" you or with anyone else that's interested. Maybe we can keep each other motivated and honest? I have the WW books, a cookbook (for desserts--my biggest downfall), the pts. calculator, etc so I can always help if anyone needs a food "pointed out".

PM or email me if you're interested in doing this together!

    Lets do it!

I started yesterday. (well I actually started a few weeks ago, but it was like for 3-6 days out of the week)

I do the same thing w/ the points!! I know the points of 99% of the things I eat. I think i know where my books are, but not the points finder thing. Thanks for helping us if we need it!!

Come on everyone! LETS DO THIS TOGETHER!!!

Remember, on weight watchers, you can eat anything you want! as long as you stay within your points range, so you can still eat your favorite foods!!!!

But don't forget to eat your fruits and veggies

    Eileen,
I can show you some of the books and materials I have here for the program on Wed. We can be exercise buddies too if you want...we email each other anyway, so why not "keep tabs on each other" then?

I've been OP (on program) since 2/4/02 and I have lost 17lbs.

I am doning the oneline version. I think the one big thing that works for me is journaling write what you eat, it can be a real eyeopener.

    Good luck.
